Tyler Fozkos

Chesterton High School, 2008 – 11


Tyler Fozkos was a two-time individual state champion for Chesterton High School and swam for the Trojans from 2007-2011. Fozkos was an integral part of Chesterton’s 2008 and 2009 state championships teams. In 2008 as a freshman, he anchored the record-setting 200-yard medley relay and led off the winning 200-yard freestyle relay. He also scored points for the Trojans getting fourth place in the 50-yard freestyle. His sophomore year his medley relay repeated as champions while Fozkos claimed the individual title in the 50-yard freestyle. He was also part of the runner-up 200-yard freestyle relay and claimed bronze in the 100-yard freestyle. At the 2010 championships, Fozkos then helped the Trojans reclaim the title in the 200-yard freestyle relay while he also repeated as champion in the 50-yard freestyle. As a senior Fozkos claimed a silver in the 50-yard freestyle and bronze in the 100-yard freestyle. Tyler continued swimming at Florida State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He currently works as a specialty Polymer Production Engineer. Tyler continues to swim and competed at the 2018 United States Masters Swimming National Championships. He is also an avid triathlete and competed at the 2018 USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships. Tyler resides in South Carolina with his wife Colleen and two dogs, Missy and Frank.
