Susan (Mobley) Prosser

Southport High School, 1974 – 75


Susan Mobley Prosser was a diver for Southport High School who won the inaugural state championship in diving. The 1974-75 championships were the first-ever championship for girls swimming and diving in Indiana. Susan was coached by Richard Brunoehler, a Hall of Fame inductee and winner of the Hobie Billingsley award, and Jim Henry, an NCAA champion and Olympic medalist. She attributes her success in diving to her background in dance and gymnastics. Susan has continued to be involved in swimming and diving as a coach, an H2O fitness instructor, a water therapist, and a personal trainer. Susan married Jon Prosser in 1981 and moved to Vienna. Austria for four years. They returned to the United States to Oklahoma where they still reside. They have two children, Ben and Laura.
