South Bend Jackson High School, 1971 – 75
Steve Weisser swam for South Bend Jackson High School, winning six state individual championships. He sprinted his way to three straight state titles in the 50-yard freestyle in 1973, 1974, and 1975, setting a state record in 1973. In addition, he won the 100-yard freestyle events in 1974 and 1975, also setting state marks in 1974 and 1975, and he won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1972-73.
