Lindsay (Carlberg) Ramsey

Carmel High School, 1995 – 98


Lindsay was a three-time individual state champion, five-time relay champion and four-time team champion for the Carmel Greyhounds. Lindsay won her first of three straight 100-yard backstroke titles her sophomore year. At the 1995 championships, she also placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley and swam on the champion 400-yard freestyle relay. At the 1997 championships, Lindsay repeated as backstroke champion and added relay titles in the 200-yard Medley Relay and the 400-yard Free Relay, as well as touching fourth in the 200-yard individual medley. As a senior Lindsay earned her third backstroke title while also finishing as runnerup in the 200-yard individual medley. She swam legs on both the champion 200-yard Medley Relay and the champion 400-yard Free Relay as Carmel claimed its twelvth straight team championship. Lindsay continued her swimming career at the University of Michigan where she was a team captain. She was a six-time honorable mention All-American and was named to the All-Big Ten championships team. While at Michigan, she qualified for the World University Games and competed in the 200 backstroke. Lindsay is an attorney and now resides in Naples, Florida with her husband Bo Ramsey and her children Reese, Alexandra and Walker.
