Munster High School, 2008 – 11
Kevin Behrens swam for Munster High School from 2007-2011 where he led Munster to runner-up team titles in 2009 and 2010. Behrens swam both the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke every year at the state championship meet, never placing lower than 3rd. He won titles in both events at the 2010 state championships and was runner-up in both the 2009 and 2011 championships. Behrens was also a vital member of the Mustangs relay teams, swimming to runner-up in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 2010, runner-up in the 200-yard medley relay in 2009 and 2011, and swam on the 2010 champion 200-yard medley relay team his sophomore year. Behrens was twice named to the USA Swimming junior national team, in 2008-09 and 2009-10. He competed in the 100-meter butterfly at the 2008 Olympic Trials. He continued swimming at Auburn University. He currently resides in Chicago where he is a payments consultant and is now an avid disc golf player.
