Brook Monroe

Floyd Central High School, 1993 – 97


Brook_MonroeBrook Monroe was a three-time individual champion for Floyd Central High School.  She won the 100-yard breaststroke at the 1995, 1996, and 1997 state championships, setting a state record in 1996, with a time of 1:02.92.  After receiving a swimming scholarship to Auburn University, Brook qualified for the 2000 Olympic trials in the 100-meter breaststroke and the 200-meter individual medley.  At Auburn she earned 15 All American honors with her performances at NCAA championships.  Brook is now is the Head Coach of the Gulf Shores swim team in Alabama.  She is married to her husband, Jeff, and has two children and two step-children.
