Westfield High School, 2004 – 08
Ben was a four-time individual state champion, winning both the 100 and 200-yard freestyle events in 2007 and 2008. Interestingly, Ben was racing with a broken foot in 2008 and still managed to capture both titles. He swam swimming at Purdue University. In 2009, he was named All-Big Ten Second Team. Ben was selected as team captain of the 2010-11 men’s team, and he is part of the team that holds the school record in the 200, 400, and 800-yard freestyle relays. In 2010 Ben won the Durham Brothers Leadership Award.
