Center Grove High School, 2004 – 08
Michelle was an eight-time individual state champion for Center Grove High School. She dominated the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard breaststroke all four years. She remains the current state record holder in the 200-yard individual medley and held the breaststroke record for seven years. More impressively, she broke the national high school record twice in her high school career in the 200-yard individual medley, while also garnering Academic All-American honors. Michelle earned “Swimmer of the Year” honors all four years of her high school career, as chosen by the Indiana High School Swim Coaches Association.
Michelle continued her swimming career at the University of Georgia where she earned 10 All American honors and won a Southeastern Conference championship in the 200-yard breaststroke. She also competed for the US in the 2007 and 2011 Pan American Games, bringing home two gold medals and a bronze.
