South Bend Adams High School, 1961 – 65
Charles Busse competed for South Bend Adams High School, winning the 50-yard freestyle state championship titles in 1963, and 1964, setting the state record time of 22.8. He also won the 100-yard freestyle event in 1965. In addition, he was a part of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay teams in 1963 and 1964. Following high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics at Florida State University in 1969, and a JD degree at the Indiana University School of Law in 1972. Charles is now retired and he and his wife Mary live in Bloomington, Indiana.
