Valparaiso High School, 1993 – 97
Amy Shurr competed for Valparaiso High School, winning state championships diving titles in 1994-95 and 1996-97. Amy was part of the 1996 IHSAA state runner-up girls basketball team and was a member the 1997 state champion 4 x 800-meter track team for Valparaiso. She attended Indiana University, earning a degree in Journalism. Amy competed in the Little 500 Bike Race three times while in college. She now lives in Chicago with her husband Mike and works in marketing and public relations.
