Columbus North High School, 1984 – 87
Lynn Etnyre competed for Columbus North High School from 1984-87. She won the 200 and 500-yard freestyle events in 1984 and 1985, setting state record her senior year in the 200-yard freestyle. Additionally, she contributed to two relay titles for Columbus North, earning a total of six titles in her career.
Lynn received a scholarship to swim at Purdue University and was a four-year finalist at Big Tens. She received the Purdue Swimming and Diving Most Improved Award, the Mental Attitude Award, and was a team captain. Post college activities include triathlons, and she worked as an international flight attendant for 5 years. Lynn is a stay at home mom and lives with her husband Jack and four children.
