North Central High School, 1999 – 2003
Susan swam for North Central High School where he was a three-time individual state champion and 6-time relay champion. Her individual titles came in the 100-yard freestyle in 2003 and in the 200-yard freestyle in 2001 and 2003. She and her North Central teammates maintained a four-year reign in the 200-yard freestyle relay, while also winning the 400-yard freestyle relay in 2001 and 2003.
Susan went on to compete at Purdue University, where she was a Big Ten conference championship finalist in the 50 and 100-yard freestyles, and Honorable Mention All-American in the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relays. Susan was also a school record holder in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events. Susan currently works as a Health and Wellness Educator at Spectrum Health Systems in Indianapolis.
