Fort Wayne Snider High School, 1995 – 99
Michala Kwasny swam for Fort Wayne Snider High School from 1995-99. She dominated the 200-yard individual medley, winning it every year with championship meet records in three of those years. She also swept the 100-yard butterfly event for three years, establishing a meet record her junior year. Michala was the recipient of the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award as a senior in 1999. After high school, Michala continued her swimming career at the University of Southern California where she earned 13 All-American honors and four Pac-10 conference titles. She ran the Los Angeles Marathon in 2006 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She lives in the Los Angeles area.
