Justin Hoggatt

Homestead High School, 1994 – 98


Hoggatt__JustinJustin Hoggatt competed for Homestead High School.  He won the 50-yard freestyle three straight years, from 1996 to 1998. As a senior, he added a title in the 100-yard butterfly and was a part of the 200-yard medley relay state championship team.  He also received the IHSAA Herman F Keller Mental Attitude Award in 1998.  Justin went on to swim at the University of Tennessee and became an eight-time All-American. He is a former American record holder as a member of a 200-yard medley relay team that set the record in 2001.  Justin served as team captain during the 2001-02 season, and he was a finalist in the 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Championships. In addition, Justin qualified for the 2000 Olympic Trials in the 100-yard butterfly. He currently resides in the Denver area.
