Jennifer Hendricks

Ben Davis High School Coach, 1969 – 90


Hendricks__JenniferJennifer Hendricks began her teaching and coaching career in 1969. She worked at Ben Davis High School from 1971-1980. After a short hiatus, she again coached from 1984 until 1990.  Jennifer won two consecutive state championship team titles while at Ben Davis, taking the titles in 1979 and 1980. Her Ben Davis squad was also the runner-up in 1977.  While at Ben Davis, her swimmers earned 17 individual state championship titles.  Jennifer was active in her coaches association, receiving the NISCA Outstanding Service Award in 1995. She also served on the NFHS National Swimming and Diving Rules Committee from 1989-92. Additionally, Jennifer served as the Indiana Academic All-State Swimming Chairman for boys and girls from 1989-99.  Jennifer is now retired and lives with her husband Skip. Jennifer enjoys discussing swimming with her niece, Cathy Wright-Eger, who was the head women’s swimming coach at Purdue University from 1987-2008.
