Jenni Anderson

Chesterton High School, 1997 – 2001


Jenni Anderson swam at Chesterton High School from 1997-2001. She was a six-time state champion, winning both the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke three straight years, setting state records in the backstroke in 2000 and 2001. Anderson won two Duneland Athletic Conference individual titles each of her four years and owned six school records upon graduation. “Her senior year in high school she broke the state record in the 100 back and was the fastest kid in the nation that year,” Coach Kevin Kinel said. Jenni was the recipient of the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award in 2001. Jenni went on to swim for Auburn University where she a member of the 2004 NCAA championship team and led off Auburn’s NCAA championship 200 medley relays in 2003 and 2004.
