West Lafayette High School, 1972 – 76
Jayne attended West Lafayette High School from 1972-1976. She was state champion in the 50-yard breaststroke in 1973 and 1975 and won the 100-yard breaststroke twice in 1974 and 1975 in state record time, due to the inception of girls swimming and diving as an IHSAA sponsored sport. Jayne continued her swimming career at Purdue University and was a member of the Big Ten Champion 200-yard medley relay teams in 1977 and 1978. Jayne currently teaches fourth grade at Mesa Verde Elementary in Tucson, Arizona. She is married to her husband Roberto and has four children: Ricardo, Carlos, Marta, and Antonio.
