Jack Deppe

Bloomington High School, 1967 – 71


Jack_DeppeJack was the state champion in the 100-yard backstroke in 1970 and 1971, setting a state meet record as a junior and lowering his mark as a senior.  He helped his Bloomington High School team win the state championship in 1970 and 1971.  Jack received the Herman Keller Mental Attitude Award his senior year.  Jack also participated in the Olympic trials in 1972.  Jack swam four years while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at Stanford University, and graduated from Case Western Medical School in 1979.  He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery in 1984 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Deppe has practiced orthopedic surgery for over 30 years in Evansville.
