South Bend Central High School, 1930 – 32
Bruce Brown was a diver for South Bend Central High School. He was the first Indiana State diving champion as the first IHSAA Swimming and Diving Championship was held in 1931. Therefore, he set the first Indiana state diving record. The very next year he went on to break his own record, becoming the first two time diving champ in 1931 and 1932. Additionally, he helped South Bend Central to the first IHSAA boys swimming and diving state titles in 1931 and 1932.
